Habakkuk 2 New King James Version (NKJV)
1 I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected. The Just Live by Faith 2 Then the Lord answered me and said:
“Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. 4 “Behold the proud, His soul is not upright in him; But the just shall live by his faith.

These words have been big in my heart for a year. I was asked if I had something for a friends church last fall and this is what the Lord gave me. It turned out to be big on their hearts too. So much, they began to write what God was showing them for their vision on big framed posters to hang around their meeting facility.
I am sure this is on the heart of others too. In context, Habakkuk was a prophet with an urgent message to a people under pressure to know what to do with those who opposed them.
But this can also apply to anyone who lives by faith and is seeking direction for what to do with their life. We will always find a certain amount of opposition to the good God wants us to do. But let's not give the enemy too much credit.
If we wait on God, don't just expect, " This is what you are doing wrong". Expect in faith, a vision for direction and wisdom to carry it out.
Write it down, even it if it seems a long way off to see it come to fruition. Because, if it is from the Lord and He gave you the vision for it, it will come to pass.
Know this though. Vision is rarely carried out without the help of others who share, believe in and will pull oars with you to see it come to pass. So write it down in a way everyone can understand it. Then among those who read it, some will get on board and run with you in it.
Don't wait for the big thing to happen. Start with the little and like Jesus said, He will give you more. That's how the just who live by faith operate. They are forth right, clear, and move ahead with what they know God gave one step at a time. This includes others who carry what we don't. They help us fuel a vision from God we could never pull off on our own.
This year God wants to reveal clear steps that you can articulate and add people to your vision to see it grow and come to pass. What you thought was the end game is much bigger down the road. But everything is beautiful in it's time. So plant, cultivate and water what God has given you while trumpeting your God given vision now.
